America has been the defacto police man in the ME for the last 60 years, after we collapse Dubai has no 'big brother' to protect them on the International playground and the winner of WWIII will own that gold.

In times of peace, gold rules. The mideast is not a military might and the last place I'd want to store my gold. Russians probably have the plans to the vaults in their hands already waiting for the day Dubai has no allie worth mentioning...

I must have missed that Star Trek episode where the klingons turned all of our gold into highly leveraged/secruitized tribble manure..

I don't think anyone would invade our country for the collatoralized debt obligations kept in wall street's vaults. But did you pay attention to how many tons of gold are moving into that grandiouse sand pit under the stars? why not just walk through harlem at night with Kruggerands dangling from your lapel?

The same people who want to get their hands on the resources trapped under the artic are watching this gold leave the saftey net of the western powers.

A fool and his money... Why not move all our gold to where the pirates live and not even have a standing army that could defend against a brigade of boy scouts?

I just don't see gold loosing it's eternal value. Gold is basically indistructable, that alone gives it intrinsic value. Anti-gold are powers like your xwife, you know how long the treasrues would last with her around..

Good point, Duck. If we accept the premsie that this collapse is engineered (I think most on this forum do) than there is a point where the fiat system totally implodes and a new 'monetary' system will take its' place.

How much time do we have left before this 'implosion' occurs? I'm taking a little time off work just to concentrate on preps and I'd like to know how much time we have before this current system implodes.

Right now we are at the place where a normal recovery would happen after a recession. When this 'recovery' stalls or enough investors figure out that industry is just restocking a few totally bare shelves from last winter's panic, we have a real problem.

It's all guesswork Duck, but if TPTB feel London is no longer the safe place for their gold I would think they know something we don't. That is a major power shift if you follow the money, thanks for bringing it to our attention. :ok::ok:

Anyhow, arabs know something for sure, one thing they know is they don't want to sell BLACK GOLD - oil - for paper with numbers. But they can't sell oil for gold, as there's not enough gold. So they'll set up a system where each barrel of oil will carry fiat AND gold denominations together. At which point they will be slowly pumping gold reserves out of London and Geneva back into their own vaults.

Hopefully by that time they have enough weapons of mass distractions :)) so they can defend themselves against invasion. As Iraq and Hussain showed, if you can't defend yourself, you can't request payments in gold for oil. Bummer.

But if you already HAVE gold...then you can for sure request to deliver it...

The ANTIGOLD will then implode into a small black hole, sucking in forever whoever is left holding the bag... :ok:
